The Steve Somers and Friends Jazz Band performs at community events, fundraisers and WCC events.  Steve Somers directs the jazz band at Washtenaw Community College as well as the Ypsilanti Youth Orchestra Jazz Ensemble.  Steve Somers has assisted many young people in the community with their careers in music.  Washtenaw Community College offers Summer, Fall and Winter jazz music classes.
